Once your Confirmation of Enrolment comes through and you have secured your student visa, it’s time to start thinking of some of the practicalities of travelling to Australia. Overseas Student Health Cover
Australia has a special system of health cover for international students called Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). You will need to buy OSHC before you come to Australia to cover you from when you arrive. The Department of Immigration and Border Protection requires you to maintain OSHC for the duration of your time on a student visa in Australia.

Airport Pickup
Airport pick up service is available to international students, upon request (charges apply, see fees and charges). Students will be met at the Arrivals hall and taken to their accommodation.

Short-term Accommodation
It’s a good idea to try to organize a permanent place to live before you arrive in Australia. However, you may decide to wait until you arrive to get an idea of distances between your campus and surrounding suburbs, or to inspect private rental accommodation.
