Gen Institute is currently seeking Trainers/Assessors to manage and deliver Certificate III in Painting & Decorating qualification to its students.

Trainer & Assessor – Painting and Decorating

Profession: Trainer & Assessor
Employment type: Full-Time

Essential criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
  • Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
  • Relevant training experience of a minimum of two years within an RTO/TAFE (desired).
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete training and assessment documentation in line with organizational policies and procedures to set deadlines.
  • Ability to contribute to the ongoing review and continuous improvement of training and assessment resources.
  • Meet industry currency and professional development requirements


Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Trainers will be to provide quality training; and this will be achieved by:

  • Providing mentoring and coaching to students to prepare them for the workplace
  • Providing face to face training and support to our international students
  • Conducting competency based assessments in simulated automotive workshops
  • Validating and moderating training and assessment tasks & resources for the qualification
  • Providing a positive learning environment with support and understanding for students
  • Maintaining student attendance & academic records
